DIY Trick or Treat Directional Sign

Looking for a simple Halloween decoration to make? The Trick or Treat Directional Sign that our team made is simple, but so adorable!

Here's what you'll need:
1 unfinished directional tree (on sale $12.97, reg. $19.99 - thru Oct. 15, 2017)
Acrylic paint (orange - 2 different tones, white and yellow)
Scrapbook paper from the Doodlebug "Booville" collection
Cardstock in green, orange and black
Mod Podge
Xacto Knife
Candy corn wood shape
E6000 glue

Instructions:
1. Paint the wood tree with orange paint (use the lighter of the two oranges) and let dry. While that's drying, paint the candy corn with orange, white and yellow.

2. Place your wood tree arrows on your paper and trace a line. Use your Xacto knife to cut the shapes.

3. Apply Mod Podge on the arrows and on the back of the paper, then glue them together. When dry, add a coat of Mod Podge to seal your project.

4. We invite you to come to our store to use our Die Cut Machines to cut the letters to spell "Trick or Treats". You'll want to cut them using black paper first, and then with green paper for the words "trick" and "treats" and in orange for the word "or". Having the black letters will allow you to layer the letters and have the black act as a shadow/border. You can glue these layers using Mod Podge.

5. Glue the words to the arrows using E6000 glue. The candy corn shape will also be glued on using the E6000 glue. You want a good strong glue to hold it up there. Make sure to let your glue dry completely before moving your new decoration.  Place by the door for a colorful pop of color!
