DIY Faith Family Friends Shadow Box

This is one of those days where we get super excited because we just received a new product that opens the door to many more unique craft projects!

We're happy to introduce our new PRE-LIT WOOD SHADOW BOX! This box can be used as is, or painted, or mod podged with beautiful scrapbook paper. We love the fact that the lights are already part of the box.

In this project, we decided to keep the color of the wood as is, but to add paper to the back surface of the box.  Here's what you'll need to make this project:

- 1 pre-lit shadow box (SALE: $14.88, reg. $19.99) View sale here - ends Oct. 15, 2017.
- 1 sheet of scrapbook paper of your choice
- Word blocks: Faith, Family, Friends
- Mini pumpkin decoration
- Gold leaves on jute string
- Pen & ruler (to trace your shape)
- Cutting board, or scissors
- Mod Podge & foam brush (or glue of your choice)
- E6000 Glue

Here's how easy this is to put together:

1. Open the lid of your shadow box. Set aside.

2. Measure the inside of your opening and trace this size onto your paper (or if you have a cutting board, use the guide to cut the size needed). If you don't have a cutting board, use your scissors to cut your traced lines.

3. Apply Mod Podge using the foam brush on the back inside of the box and on the back of your paper. Now place your paper on the back inside the box and move it to align it with the sides. It's going to be wet, you shouldn't have any issue positioning the paper in place. Let that dry before you move on to the next step.

4. Place your block words inside the box. And put the small pumpkin decoration on top of one of the blocks. Optional: you can glue these in place, or not. It's up to you. If you think you'd like to change this display with each season, then if it's not glued together, you'll be able to switch the decorations easily.

5. Put back the lid on the box. As far as the leaves go, simply glue it to the top of the cover with E6000 glue. And that's it! It's ready to display! Turn on the lights to show your beautiful creation!
